Our residential program serves adults with varying degrees of physical
and developmental disabilities. These individuals live a variety of lifestyles,
according to their choices and/or capabilities as outlined in their ISP
(Individualized Service Plan). Living options include assisted living
facilities, apartments, or homes in the community.
The Residential Program currently serves 44 individuals in
14 sites in the Bibb County area. The assisted living facilities provide
twenty-four/seven oversight and training and are designed to serve individuals
who need one-on-one personal support because of medical conditions, physical
limitations, or intellectual functioning.
Individuals, who have acquired necessary skills to live more
independent lives, usually choose an apartment setting with a roommate
to share expenses. Oversight and training are still provided but in a
much less intense manner.
The residential program is supported mainly by the state
MRWP program although we do have some private pay residents. ARC Case
Coordinators are glad to assist in the application process.
